Rolling Meadows will kick off City Market Saturday

Rolling Meadows will hold its first City Market of the year on Saturday, with new health guidelines in place.

The market is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Community Church of Rolling Meadows, 2720 Kirchoff Road.

Organizers say face coverings and social distancing will be required, as will one-way travel down aisles. Extra hand washing and sanitizing stations will be in place.

In addition to the regular produce and food vendors, music will be performed by Stann Champion of Roots Rock Society. Mayor Joe Gallo and members of the city council are scheduled to greet constituents at a city tent from 10 to 11 a.m.

Subsequent markets are scheduled on June 27, July 18, Aug. 22 and Sept. 26.
