Mount Prospect library expanding services

Starting Monday, June 22, Mount Prospect Public Library will expand services to include in-person computer usage, according to a news release Friday.

Cardholders ages 16 and older may register for a 1-hour session to use public computers. Sessions are available Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to noon, 2 to 4 p.m., 5 to 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m.

The library will also make available SimpleScan equipment to scan and fax documents. Registration is required and available by calling the library at (847) 253-5675.

Patrons are limited to one session per day. Social distancing will be enforced and face coverings are required while inside the building. Equipment will be sanitized between users.

Services available at the library may change at any time. The library's actions are guided by available science and information from health and infectious disease experts, executive orders from the Office of Gov. J.B. Pritzker, and the American Library Association.
