Winter re-elected chief judge

The circuit judges of the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit have unanimously voted Judge Diane E. Winter to a second term as chief judge. Winter will begin her second term Jan. 5, 2021, and that will run until Jan. 2, 2022.

Winter has served as the presiding judge of the Misdemeanor and Traffic Division, the presiding judge of Criminal Misdemeanor and Traffic Division along with the Probate and Alternative Dispute Resolution Division, and the presiding judge of the Family Division. She served as deputy chief from January 2018 through December 2019, and began her first term as chief judge Jan. 2, 2020.
