Black Lives Matter protest planned in Buffalo Grove Thursday

A protest stemming from last week's death of George Floyd in Minneapolis is scheduled to take place Thursday in Buffalo Grove, according to village officials and a social media post by organizers.
A group called Chicago Burbs for Justice said the event is "not a riot" and they will be "Standing in solidarity with protesters against police brutality."
The protest is scheduled to take place at 4:30 p.m. at the Buffalo Grove Park District's Spray 'n Play, 951 McHenry Road.
Village Manager Dane Bragg Wednesday said in an email that the group met with police Tuesday. Park district officials say they were notified by Buffalo Grove police, but have not been in touch with the organizers.
