New principal at Glenbard East

Glenbard East Assistant Principal for Student Services Antoine Anderson has been named principal at Glenbard East, effective July 1. He will replace Shahe Bagdasarian, who will become principal at York High School in Elmhurst.

"This is a great place that I've called home for many years and I'm excited to continue working and partnering with our dedicated and hardworking staff, as well as the community, in equipping our students with the skills and competencies necessary for 21st century success," Anderson said in a written statement.

Anderson has been assistant principal for student services at Glenbard East since July 2013. In addition, he has experience as dean of students at Glenbard East and Maine West High School and as a business teacher at Maine West and Rich South High School.

He has a master's degree in educational leadership and administration from Concordia University in River Forest, a master's degree in secondary education and teaching from Olivet Nazarene University and a bachelor's degree in marketing from Olivet Nazarene University.
