7 join Aurora Fire Museum board
Seven people have been appointed to serve three-year terms on the Aurora Regional Fire Museum board of directors.
The newly appointed members are: Abby Schuler, the city's downtown services manager; Cayla Wagner, assistant curator of the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame and Museum; Eric Essex, a financial adviser with Wela Financial; James Cardis, director of marketing for the Aurora Area Convention and Visitors Bureau; Jim Rhodes, battalion chief of training for the Aurora Fire Department; Karen Yaggie, director of marketing of Universal Security Instruments; and Velvet Mason, development manager of Giant Steps.
The board's outgoing members are Jim Birchall, Brad Westrom, Rick Peabody, Clare Augustine, Elizabeth Sturm and Jim DeSomer.
The Aurora Regional Fire Museum preserves the history of the Aurora Fire Department and fire service through collections and exhibits while educating visitors about fire safety and prevention.
