Elk Grove Village launches coronavirus website to help businesses

Elk Grove Village officials, with the help of an ad hoc steering committee of six local business leaders, have launched a website intended as a go-to resource for the village's 3,600 businesses facing challenges in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

The online resource, at coronavirus.egvbizhub.com, covers various topics, including: how to access financial assistance via local, state and federal government agencies including the U.S. Small Business Administration; how to donate critical supplies to health care workers, first responders and others; what companies can do to strengthen the supply chain to get needed materials into the hands of those who need it most; and how to identify local vendors/contractors who can deliver goods and services such as cleaning and sanitation companies or manufacturers of personal safety equipment.

The village convened the committee and launched the website after fielding a deluge of calls from businesses seeking information on a range of pandemic-related issues.
