Round Lake Park police wear protective equipment on patrol

Round Lake Park police will begin wearing personal protective equipment including N95 masks, gloves and eye protection while on patrol to slow the spread of COVID-19. Officers are required to wear PPE during all interactions with the public. Officers were issued PPE several weeks ago and asked to wear protective equipment at their discretion. Following recommendations from the medical director of the Illinois State Police, Round Lake Park police are taking the measures to prevent the spread of the virus. Officers will continue to answer calls regularly and there will be no changes to their protocols for crime fighting.
