DuPage Health Department joins forces with DuPagePads

The DuPage County Health Department and DuPagePads have begun partnering to ensure homeless residents have a place to stay and food to eat.

Last week, DuPagePads moved from congregate settings to alternative settings to ensure families with children, the elderly with preexisting conditions, and individuals who are now in emergency housing are sheltered in an environment to protect them from COVID-19.

Now the health department staff will help deliver food from the DuPagePads Client Service Center to residents who are in emergency housing and in need of meals. Deliveries will be conducted in partnership with the Northern Illinois Food Bank each Friday.
