St. Charles schedules budget hearing

The St. Charles city council is holding a public hearing April 6 on its proposed budget for next fiscal year.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the city council chambers within the municipal center, 2 E. Main St., according to a notice on the city's website. City officials say they will make special accommodations to enforce social distancing regulations, such as ensuring no more than 10 people are in a room and keeping attendees at least 6 feet apart.

A copy of the proposed budget for fiscal year 2020-21, which begins May 1, can be reviewed on the city's website.

Members of the public can ask questions verbally or submit comments in writing in advance to Finance Director Chris Minick at cminick@stcharlesil.gov or 2 E. Main St., St. Charles, IL 60174.
