Waubonsee cancels graduation, moves classes online

Waubonsee Community College in Sugar Grove is moving its classes online and has canceled its May 16 commencement ceremonies to slow the spread of the coronavirus.

The remainder of the college's credit-bearing classes for the spring semester will be conducted online or through alternative course delivery methods. Spring break remains extended through March 29 with credit courses scheduled to resume on March 30.

Students will hear from instructors by March 27 with information about how their courses will be conducted for the rest of the semester.

Courses with lab and studio components are being reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Those delivery methods will not resume until April 13 at the earliest. For updates, visit waubonsee.edu/covid19.
