Elgin closures, changes to procedures due to COVID-19

Elgin City Hall and the Elgin Police Department are closed to the public as of Monday.

"The City of Elgin continues enacting measures to keep employees safe," said Mayor David Kaptain in a news release. "Minimizing employee interactions with the public is just one more step to helping stop the spread of coronavirus while still maintaining essential City services."

Water bills may be paid online at cityofelgin.org/waterbill, by phone at 311 or with a check in the drop box outside City Hall.

Any questions regarding permits, plans or inspections should be directed to permits@cityofelgin.org.

Parking tickets and other citations can be paid online at cityofelgin.org/paybill.

All public meetings have been canceled through at least the end of March.
