Teen charged in fatal shooting of Aurora girl

Nearly four months after 15-year-old Jasmine Noble was fatally shot in Aurora, police have arrested another teenager with her death.

The 17-year-old Rockford boy, whose name was not released by police, will be charged in juvenile court with involuntary manslaughter and unlawful use of a weapon. He was arrested Wednesday by Rockford police in that city after tips and investigative work led police there.

"This case is a perfect example of when a community steps up with information about a case, the truth prevails," Aurora Police Chief Kristen Ziman said in a news release.

Noble was shot about 12:20 a.m. Nov. 24 inside a home in the 400 block of Florida Avenue. Several people were in the house at the time, police said.

She was pronounced dead on the scene.
