Suburban senior-citizen agency suspends activities, makes meals 'to go'

AgeGuide Northeastern Illinois Agency on Aging has suspended all gatherings for senior citizens in DuPage, Kane, McHenry, Will, Lake, Grundy and Kankakee counties, as a precaution to reduce the risk of the novel coronavirus spreading to the elderly.

It includes senior center activities, support groups and health classes. Community dining meals will be provided as "to-go" meals instead.

Home delivery of meals will continue as usual.
