Carol Stream man indicted on child porn, unauthorized recording charges
A Carol Stream man who was arrested in January on charges of videotaping a minor without permission now faces charges of possession of child pornography.
Richard A. Young, 52, was charged Jan. 5 with two counts of unauthorized video recording or transmission. Last week, a grand jury indicted him on seven counts. One of the victims was 16 at the time. The other was an adult.
The victims are people Young knew.
He also was indicted on four charges of possession of child pornography. The indictment charges that he possessed two photographs or images depicting a lewd exhibition of a female younger than 18. Another depicts a female younger than 18 engaging in sexual conduct, and a fourth depicts the genitals of a female younger than 18.
As a condition of his release on bail, Young is being monitored by GPS equipment. He is not to have contact with anyone younger than 18 or the victims, authorities say. A protective order requires him to stay away from their home, school and places of employment.
Young pleaded not guilty Tuesday to all counts.
His next court date is May 13.
