Head to the library for comics
The Cook Memorial Public Library District's annual mini-con will be held Saturday at the Aspen Drive Library, 701 Aspen Drive, Vernon Hills. Running from 1 to 4:30 p.m., the event will feature comic book writers and artists from throughout the Chicago area, as well as activities for readers of all ages. Admission is free. Registration isn't needed.
