Stevenson hosting debate Wednesday on graduated income tax

The Stevenson High School Political Action Club is hosting a debate regarding the graduated income tax constitutional amendment at 7 p.m. Wednesday, in Room 2104 at the school, 1 Stevenson Drive, Lincolnshire.

Former state senator and gubernatorial candidate Dan Biss will argue for the measure and economist/author Ted Dabrowski of Wirepoints against. Students will moderate and ask questions. The amendment to change the income tax structure from a flat percentage to a graduated percentage, will be on the ballot in November.
