Batavia

• Two packs of Frontier construction equipment, a total value of $598, were reported stolen at 1:55 p.m. Feb. 18 from Menard's, 300 N. Kane County

• Benjamin T. Cook, 18, of the 700 block of Reserve Court, South Elgin, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance/15 or more hits of LSD, after a traffic stop about 7:58 p.m. Friday on the 34W500 block of Illinois Street near St. Charles, according to a sheriff's report. Authorities were called to the area for an underage party and a report of vehicles drag racing. Cook was a passenger in one of the vehicles deputies pulled over and admitted to possessing the 20 hits of LSD, which he had purchased for $300, according to the report.
