Photography exhibit about refugees coming to Palatine library

A poignant traveling photography exhibition will be on display at the Palatine Public Library District from March 2 through April 15.

"When Home Won't Let You Stay" is an exhibit about refugees in America by documentary artist James A. Bowey. Contemporary color portraits accompanied by first-person stories show the resilience of refugees in the country.

The images will be on the second floor of the main library at 700 N. North Court in Palatine. From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. March 4, Bowey will be at the library to present photographs, stories and reflections from the exhibit along with leading a community conversation. The exhibit and program are funded by the private nonprofit Friends of Palatine Library.
