Naperville police investigating armed robbery

The Naperville Police Department is currently investigating an armed robbery that occurred Tuesday morning just after 11:40 a.m. at the 200 block of East Bailey Road. Officers arrived to learn a pair of individuals took a high-value item that was intended to be sold after a sale was arranged online. The suspects are said to be a pair of 20-22 year old males with one standing 5-foot-10, around 200 pounds and wearing a hooded sweatshirt, and the other 5-foot-6 with a medium build.

Displaying a handgun and quickly taking the item, the suspects fled the scene in a red vehicle.

Anyone with information regarding this crime is encouraged to contact the Naperville Police Department at (630) 420-6666 and ask for the Investigations Division.

The police encourage the public to utilize the Naperville Police Department as a safe location to meet and complete transactions that began online. The department's front lobby is available for this purpose Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. When the lobby is closed, the public is encouraged to use the department's front parking lot, where two designated parking spaces provide a well-lit, video-recorded location with access to an emergency telephone.
