Learn about marijuana access at Palatine library program

Palatine Public Library District will host an adult program called "Cannabis Access in Illinois" from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20. Guests at the free event will learn what legalized marijuana should mean for them and their communities. Speaker Kirsten Velasco is expected to present the most recent information regarding recreational pot use and the state's medical marijuana program. To sign up, call (847) 358-5881, ext. 167, or visit palatinelibrary.org. The library is at 700 N. North Court. Palatine is among the suburbs that will allow marijuana retailers in certain areas.
