Lincolnshire-Prairie View School District 103 opens new headquarters

Lincolnshire-Prairie View School District 103's new headquarters is open and ready for business.

District staff relocated over the weekend to Suite 100 of an office building at 111 Barclay Blvd. in Lincolnshire. The district headquarters long had been at Daniel Wright Junior High School on Riverwoods Road.

Superintendent Scott Warren and 18 other District 103 staffers made the move to Barclay Boulevard. The move to the new digs went smoothly, Warren said Monday.

The relocation was part of a planned $8 million expansion and renovation project at Wright. The key component of the plan is a one-story, 1,800-square-foot classroom addition near the front of the building.

"This move is the first phase in creating needed learning space at Daniel Wright Junior High as our student population continues to grow," Warren said.

All school board meetings will be held at the new office from now on, rather than at Wright Junior High. That begins Tuesday night with a special meeting planned for 7 p.m. Construction bids for the Wright expansion are among the items on the agenda.
