Schaumburg Park District to host Oscars Watch Party

The Schaumburg Park District will host an Oscars Watch Party from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, at Schaumburg Tennis Plus, 1416 N. Payne Road in Schaumburg.

Upon arrival, movie buffs will fill out their ballots and get ready for the big event, which will be shown on multiple flat-screen TVs. Popcorn and other Oscar-themed food will be served.

"This is a really fun event for film lovers to enjoy a night out, watch the Oscars and vote on the winners," said Kathleen Benson, Bock Neighborhood Center manager. "The person with the most correct guesses will win a prize to take home."

The registration fee includes one drink at the bar (beer, wine or soda). Cost is $10 per person, and attendees must be 21 years or older.
