Man found shot to death in car in Aurora

A man was found shot to death in a car early Monday morning in Aurora.

Aurora police said they received several calls just before 1:45 a.m. reporting multiple shots fired on the 200 block of South Lincoln Avenue on the city's near east side.

Officers discovered 26-year-old Antonio Johnson of Aurora suffering from a gunshot wound inside a car. Paramedics pronounced Johnson dead on the scene.

Detectives are still investigating the death, which they consider a homicide. There is no word of any suspects in custody.

Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to call Aurora police at (630) 256-5500 or call Crime Stoppers at (630) 892-1000 and remain anonymous and eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.
