Construction worker accidentally sparks small Naperville house fire

A construction worker using heating materials while working on a Naperville home accidentally sparked a small fire Monday morning that emergency crews were able to extinguish in just five minutes.

Firefighters said they responded to the call at 11:14 a.m. on the 1300 block of Royal St. George Drive and arrived six minutes later to find a small fire on the vinyl siding of the home. The fire never reached the interior and the residents, who were out of the home by the time firefighters arrived, were allowed back in, Bureau Chief Phil Giannattasio said.

No injuries were reported.
