Gurnee library to host winter reading program

To help area students stay sharp and keep reading during the winter holidays, the Warren-Newport Public Library in Gurnee is hosting a Winter Reading Challenge.

The program is open for children and teens up to 19 years old. To participate, entrants must read for at least 300 minutes, or five hours. Those who do will earn a free book and entry into a drawing for additional prizes.

To take part, pick up a reading log at the library's youth services desk or keep track online at wnpl.beanstack.com/reader365. The Warren-Newport Library is located at 224 N. O'Plaine Road.
