Police: Man charged after threatening to shoot guard at Batavia business
A disgruntled former temporary employee of a Batavia business is facing two misdemeanor charges after police say he threatened to shoot a security guard there early Wednesday morning.
Batavia police said Derri N. Enoch Jr., 27, of DeKalb, is charged with aggravated assault and disorderly conduct after he threatened the security guard at the business on the 700 block of North Kirk Road just after 6 a.m. Enoch had been fired and was told by the security guard he was no longer allowed on the property, prompting the threat, police said. No weapon was displayed or recovered.
