Krishnamoorthi to introduce anti-bullying legislation

U.S. Rep. Raja Krish­namoor­thi will intro­duce new legislation next Monday calling for the estab­lish­ment of anti-bul­­ly­ing task forces to study, address and reduce bul­ly­ing in pri­ma­ry and sec­ondary schools.

The measure specif­i­cal­ly address­es the bul­ly­ing of LGBTQ students.

Krishnamoorthi, LGBTQ youth and advo­cates, edu­ca­tors, stu­dents and oth­ers speakers will talk about the impor­tance of address­ing bul­ly­ing and harass­ment in schools at a news conference at 9:30 a.m.  Dec. 2 at the Ken­neth Young Center's LGBTQ+ Cen­ter, 650 E. Algo­nquin Road, Suite 104, Schaum­burg.
