Krishnamoorthi to introduce anti-bullying legislation
U.S. Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi will introduce new legislation next Monday calling for the establishment of anti-bullying task forces to study, address and reduce bullying in primary and secondary schools.
The measure specifically addresses the bullying of LGBTQ students.
Krishnamoorthi, LGBTQ youth and advocates, educators, students and others speakers will talk about the importance of addressing bullying and harassment in schools at a news conference at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 2 at the Kenneth Young Center's LGBTQ+ Center, 650 E. Algonquin Road, Suite 104, Schaumburg.
