Maine District 207 hosts Options Fairs for students

Updated Nov. 9 to correct error in dates

Maine Township High School District 207 is hosting Options Fairs this month for students to learn about careers after high school that do not require a four-year college degree.

The events will highlight high-growth, high-demand career fields that students can pursue through associate degree programs, apprenticeship programs, certificate programs and/or trade programs.

Local businesses and training programs will be on hand at booths where students can learn more about careers they might be interested in pursuing after high school.

The events are set for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 15 at Maine South High School in Park Ridge and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 22 at Maine West High School in Des Plaines. A fair took place last week at Maine East in Park Ridge.
