Fairfield Road closure in Round Lake extended to Monday

Due to construction complications replacing a culvert, the closure of Fairfield Road between Route 120 and Route 134 in Round Lake will be extended until Monday, Nov. 11, weather permitting.

The main disruption was an unforeseen utility conflict, according to the Lake County Division of Transportation. The utility work is nearly complete and the road is scheduled to be paved at the end of this week.

The detour is Route 120 to Wilson Road to Route 134. Local traffic is allowed but the road is closed to all through traffic at Squaw Creek. Visit https://www.lakecountyil.gov/4148 for more information.
