Learn about Lake County Forest Preserve's Mill Creek restoration project

Learn about a decades long project to restore Mill Creek from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20 during the 2019 Ethel Untermyer Conservation Forum at the Ryerson Woods Welcome Center, 21950 N. Riverwoods Road, Riverwoods. The project has transformed the landscape of Ethel's Woods Forest Preserve in Antioch, recreating a picturesque stream from one of Lake County's lowest quality lakes. Project Manager Leslie Berns will reveal the story behind this complex restoration success. The forum is named for Ethel Untermyer, who led the movement to create the Lake County forest district.
