Oakton hosts cannabis career fair Oct. 16

Oakton Community College will host a cannabis career fair 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the college's Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road, in Rooms 1604-1610. The event is sponsored by the Cannabis Business Association of Illinois.

Cannabis companies scheduled to attend include Cresco Labs, EarthMed, Grassroots, Green Thumb Industries, Justice Grown Illinois, MedMen, PharmaCann, Revolution Cannabis and Zen Leaf St. Charles.

"The college believes the fair will serve its communities by connecting jobseekers to opportunities that advance or enhance their careers and is consistent with its commitment to workforce and economic development," Oakton Vice President for Academic Affairs Ileo Lott said in a news release.
