Palatine police release images of arson suspect

Palatine police are asking for the public's help in identifying and locating a man suspected in connection with a vehicle arson earlier this month.

According to police, officers were called to the parking lot of 1 Renaissance Place about 2 p.m. Sept. 8 in response to a vehicle on fire. Investigators later determined the fire to be a case of arson, police said.

Police used video from nearby surveillance cameras to locate a potential suspect, described as a Hispanic man, 25 to 30 years old, standing 5'8" to 5'10" tall with a medium to heavy build. He was seen wearing a black jacket and black pants.
