Floodproofing tips offered in Gurnee

Floodproofing tips and information on the impact of increased rainfall will be presented at a public information meeting from 10 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, Sept. 17, at Warren-Newport Public Library, meeting Room A/B, 224 N. O'Plaine Road

Gurnee. Mayor Kristina Kovarik and the Lake County Stormwater Management Commission are inviting individuals learn about how increased rainfall is impacting Lake County. SMC will provide floodproofing tips businesses and homeowners can use to help safeguard their property, share data on the increased rainfall Lake County is receiving, provide resources and tools for best practices, and answer questions.
