Bartlett Days measures up to expectations

Despite cool temperatures and spotty rain, hearty festivalgoers found plenty to see, do and enjoy Sunday as the newly renamed Bartlett Days wrapped up its 10th year of providing family fun in the village's downtown.

Organizers of the event formerly known as Bartlett Heritage Days shortened the name this year to better reflect its wide appeal.

Sunday's highlights included a classic car show, a performance by the Bartlett High School marching band, crafting at Arts in Bartlett featuring a Native American theme, a nondenominational service and blessing of the animals at Bartlett Park, and a cemetery walk hosted by the Bartlett Historical Society.

On stage, visitors could see School of Rock Glen Ellyn, followed by traditional Irish and Scottish music from Character Fleadh and, closing the fest, Charlie Love and The Silky Smooth Band.
