Gurnee library to host Women's Equality Day event

The Warren-Newport Public Library, in partnership with the Lake County Women's Coalition, will host an event celebrating Women's Equality Day, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.

The event will feature a performance by Round Lake High School's Ghostlight Readers Theatre as well as a multigenerational discussion panel on issues that impact women today. The issues will include economic equity, LGBTQ rights, racial justice, domestic violence and more.

Registration for the event is free and can be done at wnpl.info. The Warren-Newport Library is at 224 N. O'Plaine Road in Gurnee.
