Arlington Hts. honoring employers who hire people with disabilities

The Arlington Heights Commission for Citizens with Disabilities is seeking nominations by Aug. 30 for its Disability Employment Awareness Award.

The award is given in recognition of the National Disability Employment Awareness Month. The theme for this year is "The Right Talent, Right Now."

The award honors an Arlington Heights employer known for proactively hiring and employing workers with disabilities. The commission seeks nominations from the community at large. Self-nominations also are encouraged.

Nomination forms are available at the Arlington Heights Health Services Department, located on the first floor of village hall, 33 S. Arlington Heights Road, or can be submitted online at www.vah.com/our_community/WhatsNew/disability_employment_awareness_award.

For more information, contact David Robb, disability services coordinator, at (847) 368-5793 or email drobb@vah.com.
