District 211 posts online survey on superintendent search

Palatine-Schaumburg High School District 211 has posted a survey on its website seeking input regarding the search for its next superintendent.

The six-question survey will be available for the next few weeks.

Following that, the search firm hired to seek out and narrow candidates for the job plans to hold about a dozen focus groups to solicit further input from different segments of the District 211 community.

Current Superintendent Dan Cates will retire June 30, 2020, but the board of education has asked search firm School Exec Connect Inc. for a time frame that would allow his successor to be identified by late October.

That would allow the appointee eight months to work on a transition with Cates.
