The Hampton Social opens Friday at The Arboretum of South Barrington

An East Coast-inspired seafood restaurant will debut Friday at The Arboretum of South Barrington.

The Hampton Social will be the latest addition to the upscale plaza at Higgins Road and Route 59. It's near the long-running Pinstripes.

South Barrington is the sixth The Hampton Social location for Chicago-based Parker Restaurant Group. Construction on the roughly 12,500-square-foot establishment began in early 2018.

When guests step inside, they can expect to see a whitewashed space with floor-to-ceiling windows in a naturally illuminated, open-air setting designed to provide a beach vibe. There also is a 3,000-square-foot patio with a retractable roof, outdoor bar, fire pits and Adirondack chairs.

Established in 2015, The Hampton Social boasts a menu with items such as scallop risotto, shrimp tacos and Jar of King Crab. For liquid refreshment, it has a self-described "elevated cocktail program."
