Schaumburg GOP holds picnic July 14

The second annual Schaumburg Township Republican Organization Membership Picnic will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, July 14, at the picnic grove at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 202 E. Schaumburg Road in Schaumburg.

The picnic is free to 2019 members. An RSVP is required by members as well as nonmembers. Nonmembers may participate for $5. Register at stgop.org and then clicking on the events tab or calling (224) 353-6543.

Burgers, hot dogs, Italian sausage, salads, beverages, ice cream and desserts will be served. Entertainment will be provided by Chris Menardi One Man Jam.

The Schaumburg Township Historical Society will host a cemetery walk, a tour of the one-room schoolhouse and the museum in the church's original chapel. The village of Schaumburg's fire and police departments will have some of their equipment on hand. Door prizes will be awarded.
