Aurora man charged with sex assault
An Aurora man was charged after sexually assaulting a woman Friday evening, officials said Monday.
Khamsaume Xayvong, 57, sexually assaulted and injured a 71-year-old woman in an Aurora home, according to a news release from the Kane County state's attorney. Xayvong knew the victim before he assaulted her, officials said.
He was charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault, aggravated battery and unlawful restraint.
Xayvong appeared Monday in bond court where his bail was set at $1 million. His next court appearance is July 17.
