Beagles and Beatles close out Frontier Days

After providing the Northwest suburbs human residents' plenty of fun, food and entertainment for the holiday weekend, Arlington Heights' Frontier Days festival ended its five-day run Sunday by giving our animal companions their due.

The annual Pet Parade sponsored by Animal Feeds & Needs was among the highlights of the fest's final day.

Other events that drew crowds included the Frontier Days Stampede Run, water fights sponsored by the Arlington Heights Fire Department, a chicken wing eating contest and volleyball, soccer and Spikeball tournaments.

Closing out the summer celebration was a performance by longtime fan favorites American English on the Frontier Days main stage.
