Knit and crochet for charity in Ela Township

Knit and crochet for charity Wednesdays will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ela Township Community Center, 380 Surryse Road, Lake Zurich.

The community of crafters has been meeting for 10 years and in that has made more than 10,000 handmade blankets, hats, scarves, baby items and more to donate to Kids' Korner at the Lake County courthouse along with area churches, homeless and domestic violence shelters, veterans, schools, hospitals, food pantries and other nonprofit organizations and causes.


All ages and skill levels are welcome. Those who don't know how to knit or crochet will be taught. For more information, call Ela Community & Family Services, (847) 540-8380.
