Metropolis hosts free screening of World War I film

Metropolis Performing Arts Centre in downtown Arlington Heights will host a free screening of a film that features rare interviews with the men who were part of World War I.

Filmmaker Peter Jackson's "They Shall Not Grow Old" brings to life the stories of the soldiers through original archival footage that was restored using state-of-the-art technology.

Metropolis, at 111 W. Campbell St., will screen the film at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, July 7. Tickets are free but reservations are required by going to metropolisarts.com or calling the box office at (847) 577-2121.
