Lawmakers to host town halls in Mount Prospect, Arlington Heights
State Rep. Mark Walker and state Sen. Ann Gillespie will co-host two town halls this week to discuss the recent busy legislative session in Springfield.
The Arlington Heights Democrats will meet with constituents Monday at the Mount Prospect Public Library and Wednesday at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library. Both events run from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
The spring session included approval of legislation for adult recreational marijuana use, gambling expansion, and a referendum for a graduated state income tax.
Walker's 53rd House District and Gillespie's 27th Senate District include portions of Arlington Heights, Des Plaines, Mount Prospect, Prospect Heights and Wheeling.
