YWCA Lake County searching for new CEO:

The YWCA Lake County Board of Directors has announced the resignation of CEO Treopia Cannon, who is moving to Houston, Texas due to a corporate reassignment for her spouse. The resignation will be effective July 31. The board has launched a search for the new CEO. Cannon will serve as a retained adviser to her successor as needed to ensure smooth transition and avoid any service disruption.

"She has done a terrific job leading the organization since assuming the role in 2016, including: increasing local partnerships, cost saving initiatives, launching our Annual Economic Empowerment Summit, and strengthening the Racial Justice platform. We wish her and her family the very best," Board Chair Melissa Donaldson said of Cannon. Cannon will be honored with a reception before her departure. Date and location to be announced.
