Des Plaines District 62 hires student services coordinator

Des Plaines Elementary District 62 has appointed Jill Dzik as its student services coordinator, making her responsible for administering and supervising special education programs and services in compliance with state and federal rules and regulations.

Dzik comes to District 62 after having spent four years in the same role at Park Ridge-Niles District 64. She's also served as a special-education teacher and a behavior specialist in the suburbs and Clark County School District in Las Vegas.

She holds a master's degrees from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in special education and educational leadership and completed her undergraduate work in special education at Illinois State University.

"I'm excited to start the next chapter of (my) career in a district that values collaboration and continuous improvement," Dzik said in an announcement of her hire. "I look forward to supporting the commitment to creating a learning environment for students that prioritizes engagement, student voice, and social emotional learning."
