Man sentenced to 15 years for abusing girl in Wheeling

A 34-year-old man was sentenced to 15 years in prison and lifetime sex offender registry in exchange for his guilty plea to sexually assaulting a girl in Wheeling and in Chicago, court records show.
Antoine Hilliard, 34, of the 1700 block of Tacoma Street, Indianapolis and who authorities say also resided in Chicago must serve at least 85% of his sentence before he is eligible for parole.
Hilliard, who was also ordered to pay $1,224 in fines, received credit for 288 days in custody.
Prosecutors say Hilliard abused the girl over several years when she was between the ages of 7 and 13. Wheeling police arrested him after the girl told a school counselor about the abuse, prosecutors said.
