Native Plant Sale continues Sunday in Libertyville

The Lake County Forest Preserves Native Plant Sale offers a chance to purchase native flowers and woody plants.

The event, which opened Saturday, continues from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at Independence Grove,16400 West Buckley Road in Libertyville.

Shoppers can learn about eco-friendly practices. Educators are available to answer questions.

The sale, held every year on Mother's Day weekend, is an annual fundraiser benefitting the district's environmental education programs and events. Information on Native Plant Sale details and species available is at www.lcfpd.org/plant-sale.
