Man rescued from Fox River near Oswego
A man was rescued from the Fox River near Oswego Saturday morning, officials said.
Firefighters from the Oswego Fire Protection District were dispatched to a part of the Fox River near Route 25 and Boulder Hill Pass around 10:30 a.m., where they found a man in the water calling for help, according to a news release from fire district.
A rescuer swam out and brought the man to an island where they were picked up by a fire district boat, the news release said.
The man was treated at the scene, then taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora for injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.
